Unlike a regular pickup, the El Camino was built on a two-door station wagon platform that integrated the cab and truck bed into the body. The El Camino was a pickup-style passenger car that combined the dramatic styling of Chevrolet cars of the time with a Half-Ton pickup. I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. I've heard many! This one will make you feel like you made the right decision once you own it. You may be surprised how many compliments it gets. The features on this car make it a comfortable, reliable cruiser. The brakes were redone, it has been upgraded to disc in front. Rear springs look like they could be new. A new exhaust system is very neatly bent along the x-frame. Original suspension includes a panhard bar. Underneath the back of the car is clean and has air shocks. UNDERSIDE: The front end looks like it's completely rebuilt with new bushings, sway bar, etc. It's been sprayed with a black bed liner and it has a very thick rubber mat carpet on the floor. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is solid, straight metal. Bottom of the hood is gloss black with hood insulation. All the components look proper, installed nicely and clean looking. All the wiring and hoses are run very neatly. It is decorated with a nice set of aluminum valve covers painted red with the Chevrolet logo and a dual snorkel air cleaner. The motor is a GM Goodwrench crate 350 with 4 bolt mains, bowtie aluminum intake with an Edelbrock carb that has an electric choke. It has power steering, power brakes and air conditioning.

A real cool feature is the rear view mirror shaped like the tail lights.ĮNGINE COMPARTMENT: Very tidy and well restored, full of modern upgrades. Headliner and visors are new white perforated material, overhead light works. The air conditioning vents are neatly installed just below the dash. It does have a retro stereo that fits in the factory hole and kick panel speakers. Upgraded with AutoMeter gauges that fit in the factory hole. The dash area is all repainted and the trim looks new. The carpet has the red and black speckled.
INTERIOR: Restored to look original, the seat is reupholstered in the correct upholstery with chrome piping. Door jambs are painted nice too, new weatherstrips. Bottom of the tailgate is clean, the jamb is painted nice, has chrome hinges. Upgraded with radial wide whitewall tires. The wheels are painted red, original hubcaps are nice.
The bumpers lare rechromed in back it has the step plates. Has new door handles and the fingernail guards, dual bowtie mirrors, it even has the accessory trim around the fuel door. All the trim on top of the bed opening is restored.

The stainless trim around the windows and the roof are straight and polished. On top of the fenders it has the chrome rockets, they look new. Upfront the grill and trim are straight and polished. It has a very highly polished red paint job, it's glossy and has a mirror reflection. The body is clean and straight, it fits nice too. The extended flat top roof, tail fins and cats eyes tail lights are just a few of the cool features. Beautifully restored to look stock but has modern upgrades for reliability, performance and comfort.ĮXTERIOR: What a beautiful and unique vehicle to look at. Rare! Upgraded with air, p steering & disc brakes.Įveryone here loves this ElCamino, probably because we rarely see one.
